Antoni Gaudí i Cornet was born on June 25, 1825 and died June 10, 1926. He was a Catalan architect and important figure in the Catalan Modernisme movement, sometimes referred to as Catalan Art Nouveau. I was in Barcelona a few years ago and spent hours looking at his buildings, including the Casa Batlló, Sagrada Familia, and the Park Güell. My favorite was the Casa Batlló; it’s an amazing work.
