Tweed Love

Tweed fabric has been a favorite of mine for years. I don’t remember wearing tweed as a child in south Florida, or even seeing much tweed, but it’s my favorite fall and winter fabric for skirts. Here in Portland, I could wear it for warmth until mid-June but it seems silly after April.

Coco Chanel used tweed extensively for her suits starting in the 1950s and 1960s. I’d love to find a vintage Chanel suit from that era. Below are some lovely tweed suits I’d love to try on. With my alligator pumps, of course!
