My sweetie and I were in Brussels recently and I had a wonderful meal at Chez Leon. The mussels were truly the most tender that I’ve ever eaten. The taste was wonderful and the texture was really delicate. I like mussels anyway but had no idea they could be this amazing. Of course I had fries and a local ale with it.

  1. A few years ago Wonderful Husband and I were eating at a cafe on the West Coast of Ireland. We watched with quiet amusement while the Belgian family at the next table transformed their meal into ‘moules frites’ by ordering mussels, chips and mayonaisse with French bread.
